You knew the work you had ahead of you when you took on a Jorrit-PM son, the brilliance is there, it's in it's raw form for now, but he's definitely one to watch in the future. Roger, Dana, Andre and Butler, it was great to see how far the But-But is progressing, I always knew he had the moves, now he has the brain as well. I was so happy the things worked out for Joellyn to make it and that her mare cooperated, but it takes a special owner to see to it that it all comes together regardless of the hoops life throws in the way. (and thank you for our beautiful engraved platter, if you get to FFD you'll see it front and center in the display case). Joellyn, Cindy and Gerrit, I'm so glad that you could share in this ride, Gerrit is going to become quite a force on the expo circuit, I'm sorry we might have gotten you "hooked" but I know you see the work as worth it. I'm proud to call you friends (and family kiddo) Karen, when will you quit saying your riding isn't up to par, you were great, Thijs was great, you say something bad about your riding again and you'll wear my foot for an accessory. ![]() You and Deke are the folks who will make this breed move forward, quietly, in the background, always there to lend a hand and complete the tasks, without all the hype. It was great to see you both again, and it was like we had just left the last expo. I think Thijs might just forgive me in, oh, about a hundred years. Karen, Deke and Thijs, I know I can always count on you guys to "make it happen". You never remember how important people like Leslie are after the event but we sure knew how important she was each evening as we enjoyed her food. ![]() Leslie, where did you come from? Folks, Leslie took on the selfless task of "catering" our barn, providing food, drinks, even putting on homemade soup every day so we could eat in the barn as we were pretty much tied there to get this show to happen. We're home from the Equine Affaire, and I remember why we decided several years ago to forego the evening musical performances, LOL.įirst, and most importantly, THANK YOU! to all the horses, owners and riders who took time out of their busy lives to share in this effort.
